The qur'an was revealed in Arabic and a majority of scholars doesn't regard translations into other languages as equal to the original text in Arabic and regard them as an interpretation of the text. Therefore there might be a difference between different translations of the same text to another language depending on the focus, background, interpretation and goals etc. of the translator.
