Abraham is one of the great prophets of Islam who rebuilt the Kaaba. Eid al-Adha, commemorates Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God, before God intervened to provide him with a sheep to sacrifice instead. he is known as the close friend of Allah.

Abraham is given the title Ḵalīlullāḥ, Meaning: Friend of Allah in Islam.The Quran says: Who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to Allah, does good, and follows the way of Abraham the true in Faith? For Allah did take Abraham for a friend. —Quran, sura 4 (An-Nisa) ayat 125[29]
