(al-) Malaikah الملائكة is the Arabic word for angels
(al-) Malaikah الملائكة is the Arabic word for angels, they have been revealed in the Qur'an many times (first time in Surat al-Baqara(2:30))and from both the Qur'an and Sahih Sunna we know a few names like Jibril (Gabriel) جبريل and Mikaeel (Michael) ميكائيل and Maalik مالك خازن النار (May peace be upon them) and they also have been described in both Quran (see also (66:6)) and Sunnah. Therefore it's a part of the Imaan (Faith) الايمان to afirm your faith in them!
