Why didn't Allah have the Prophet Isa establish the religion of Islam while He was living on the Earth?

We do not know why. This is a secret of God. Allah has answered this question in the Quran: اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُ God (is) more knowing where/when He puts His message 6:124
