ash-Shahada الشهادة is an Islamic creed declaring belief in oneness of God and the acceptance of Muhammad as God's prophet. Not to be confused with ash-Shahadat, referring to the death of a martyr.

Does one have to say the Shahada, even if one is born a Muslim?
