There are a lot of scientific mistakes and inaccuracies in the Quran, click [here][1] for a (non-exhaustive) list. While I agree that many errors in this list are silly and might just be misinterpretations, some of them are undeniably proven to be mistakes, such as the many astronomical and biological ones (many of these mistakes are shared with the Bible). Since Islam considers the Quran to be ipsissima verba of Allah, this means that Allah has made mistakes and since Islam (as well as other Abrahamic religions) considers Him to be omnipotent, this is a serious problem.

My question is; where do Muslims stand on the matter? For example, the Church opposed the Heliocentric model of our solar system up until 1757. However, this isn't as weighty as it would be for Islam since the Bible isn't the literal word of god. So, my question:

**Do Muslims deny any scientific claims which are incompatible with the Quran, or do they agree that the Quran itself has its shortcomings? And if they deny the claims, how would they explain the scientific evidence?**

*p.s.* A lot of similar questions have been closed on this site, which is a very serious issue. Things like these need to be discussed, and this is a perfectly fine, and very interesting question.
