Number of verses in the Hafs Qur'an & the Warsh Qur'an [duplicate]

Assalamualaikum how can we respond that the Hafs Qur'an has 6,236 verses while the Warsh Qur'an has 6,214 verses? Are the numbers correct? I need a response for this claim to a non-muslim commenter.
