From Modern daees, Imaams, sheikhs to Classical scholars. I always come across this statement "Donot chase the temporary pleasure of Dunya, Chase the eternal pleasure of the Hereafter" or "Dunya is like a Shadow, if you try to catch it, you will never be able to do so. But if u turn your back to it, it has no choice but to follow" - Ibn Qayyim al Jawziyya.

Why issue such statements which literally discourages great minds to be doctors, Engineers or surgeons? Why this Nihilistic perspective?

If you want everyone to be Daees and Sheikhs, then the society crumbles due to lack of Doctors and Engineers, who are chasing the "Bad Dunya".
