Recently I encoutered this claim:

One of the functions of Quranic oaths, is to make people turn their heads and pay attention.

As if you enter a city and people are doing what they do and you want them to listen to you and you shout "hey everyone".

Is there proof for this claim?

  • I didn't have time to check the video, but the claim doesn't sound like one that can be proven, as it is simply strange and it's the first time I hear this. If the person claiming this didn't explain its more or less guessing for others.
