I'd like to know the scholarly/madhhab view(s) on the following case:

Let's assume at the end of the second raka'a in a prayer instead of sitting for the tashahhud I stood up, but before doing anything else I remembered that I should sit for tashhaud and went back to that position.

I'd like to know the differences of opinion existing on the case described above and especially details about:

  • When sujud sahw is needed? (are there any preconditions: Let's say if my hand didn't leave the ground before I went back in a sitting position would I need to perform sujud at all? ...)
  • What kind of sujud is needed? I'm aware that some madhhabs only know sujud after salam others only before but again others know both kinds.
