I would like to learn the ayah that says this: It is the Tenth Ayah for Surah Al-Baqarah.

(Translation, — Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali & Muhammad Muhsin Khan) In their hearts is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and Allâh has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies.

I feel like I lie too much, but do try to avoid it sometimes. If I say this and lie subconsciously or consciously, have I cursed myself and if so, what are the punishments and responses to those acts?

  • I am learning the verse for recitation, as Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Recite the Quran, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for its reciters. Recite the two brightly illuminated chapters, Surat al-Baqarah and Ali Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds, or two shades, or two flocks of birds pleading for their companions. Recite Surat al-Baqarah as there is a blessing in it, there is sorrow in leaving it, and the sorcerers cannot defeat it.” I would like to practise this Jun 9 '21 at 20:03
