From Google

Luqman ( c. 1100 BC) was believed to be from Nubia or Ethiopia. There are many stories about Luqman in Persian, Arabic and Turkish literature, with the primary historical sources for his life found in the Tafsir ibn Kathir, and Stories of the Qur'an by Ibn Kathir.

who was Luqman ?

is there any hadith about him or valid source ?

after which nabi/rasul , he was born & his life story ?

actually I am looking more about his story ?

I know that he was wise person, whom Allah gives wisdom (حكمة)..he gave advices to his son what allah said in the holy Quran..

31-sura luqman-verse-12

And We had certainly given Luqman wisdom [and said], "Be grateful to Allah." And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever denies [His favor] - then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.

  • The Arabic Wikipedia article covers all your inquiries, as if they are based on the content. Historical data in Muslim sources are less authentic than hadith as none of the historians wrote books verifying sources or authors of claims. Mainly history sources agree on a few and disagree on many of the information about Luqman. – Medi1Saif Feb 24 at 12:50
