Many muslim countries don't have punishment according to Islam (Hadd). If one person gets a prescribed punishment of his actions according to countries law will it be kaffarah of it or not.

I mean there is no second option other than making sincere repentance other than that?

  • In this matter there are two sinners/sins: a person committing a sin that requires hadd punishment and a state that don't apply rules of Islam (shar'ia), both are sinful. As for the person he the "solution" to repent sincerely in this life. Whether this is sufficient for him is up to Allah the Almighty to decide. – Medi1Saif♦ Sep 14 '20 at 13:27
  • Why wouldn't a sincere repentance be sufficient. It's definitely to decide for by ALLAH. But if each sinner embarks on such thought whether in this world would that be sufficient then he/she might loose hope. Which in another case becomes a sin by loosing hope in the mercy of ALLAH.   • Absolutely but in order to move on the remorse is must but one should fear ALLAH and fullfil the conditions of Repentance. Afterwards IN SHA ALLAH, ALLAH is most merciful and forgiving. One should keep in this mind. Shaitan is always there to keep waswasas in your mind which might make you loose the right path again.
