I want to know the procedure for paying Zakat on shares which are a part of my salary. I also have saved shares. Do I need to pay Zakat for shares which I have used or those which are unable for me as of now but will be sometime in the future according to my salary package?

  • Zakat is paid for money that you have in your own possession for a complet lunar year if it reaches the amount of nisab. – Medi1Saif Jun 24 at 11:06
  • @Medi1Saif If there is some money which has been allotted to me but can only be used after a few years will it be considered for Zakat payment? – StackUpPhysics Jun 24 at 17:44
  • That's already covered on the site there are two mainly different opinions on the matter some say no some say yes. – Medi1Saif Jun 24 at 17:47
