May be peace be on all of us.

I have this huge doubt/skepticism on Islam being the one true way to live by. Some of the reasons being, When I skim over the history of the world my doubt starts getting bigger.

So here's why,

I see that not many years after the death of prophet people already start drifting from the quranic teachings, hadiths and make groups like shia and sunni.

Is this what Islam taught them? I see it failed in a way in hands of hunger for political power.

Also, I see terrorist groups using the holy scripture to brain wash people and make them fight. If those were the words from god, I expected some majestic thing happening and people staying good/true and not getting corrupt.

Please clear these doubts.

Addition, not related to quesiton.

I see many imams being narrow minded and totally being cutoff from the world's advancements. I really think a muslim should be balancing between deen and dunyawi knowledge.

and since an average atheist would be spending more time on average on dunyawi knowledge, a muslim should make harder sacrifice to stay upto date.

But an average muslim would fail to do so. And he will lose out on the materialistic things. That means not being able to afford that cancer treatment.

Without power at hand, you won't be able to stick around longer. Unless you wholesolly relate on the after life and judgement.

This website is not to evaluate Islam, it's to clarify what Islam teaches. – G. Bach Apr 9 '18 at 18:12
  • any recommendations where can I ask this question? – Shad Apr 9 '18 at 18:39
  • You can start on quora.com/topic/Islam. – III-AK-III Apr 9 '18 at 19:25
  • @Shad I recommend The Atheist Experience on youtube, they got loads of videos that deal with criticism of religious claims, some of them about Islam. – G. Bach Apr 9 '18 at 21:39
  • @G.Bach thanks for the recommendation but I would personally love to hear answer from muslims, (you know, their perspective) – Shad Apr 11 '18 at 18:13
