I have been in a relationship for 16 years straight. Three years ago, I took my shahada, and we got married Islamically.

During my marriage, my husband has been committing adultery. Three days ago, he told me he took a second wife; the same woman he has been cheating with.

I feel betrayed. He lied to me this whole time. When he told me he was a week into the marriage, I had no knowledge of it. I'm hurt and embarrassed. I haven't slept in three days. He says he's not granting me a divorce. My heart can't take this pain that I've been dealing with for so long. I want to add a few conditions to my marriage contract. I am thinking about praying instikhara first.

Question: Can I add conditions retroactively to my marriage contract?
