I'm asking a question on behalf of my Muslim friend. He is worried about his high estrogen levels and that they're making him gay/dysphoric. He also read about the "gender bending chemicals" articles and about beps that can shower you with estrogen before birth. So he's worried about all this.

He doesn't want to commit a sin, so if he's had high estrogen and feminine behavior since birth (which I know that he was feminine since he was a child because I know him for years), who's fault would it be? The mother's? The company that produces bep products? Some child trauma? Or his own fault? Is there any particular ruling on that, or something similar?

So will it be his fault that he is gay or someone else's? And he can't take testosterones because he don't want to bring this issue to his parents (ashamed)? What shall he do he fast and pray but to no avail? Any solutions or rulings on this? And your opinions on society making children gay either by chemicals or some physiological trauma?

"So will it be his fault that he is gay or someone else's?" According to Islam, Allah creates inclinations and nature; it just tells your friend not to act on it. "And your opinions on society making children gay either by chemicals or some physiological trauma?" I'd say you need to talk to someone on Medical Sciences to rid yourself of these false (and destructive) ideas about homosexuality. – G. Bach Mar 5 '17 at 14:26
  • There are studies and high estrogen and low testosterone can increase libido since men don't usually have high estrogen – Maria Mar 6 '17 at 21:27
