  • Dear suhail, you say there was no sunni or shia at the time of the prophet? So, if you say it, then why at the moment there are Shia and Sunni people? (so according to your speech, there was not Sunni and Shia at the time of the prophet?! Aug 2 '14 at 13:55

There are all kinds of aqeedah among the jinns, just as there are among humans. So there are Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, and so on among them. So I guess even the various sects of Islam must be reflected among them.

  • @Najeeb, yeah, I agree with you, it is a rational answer, Since as far as I know, jins have option like us, accordingly they could have different religion. Aug 2 '14 at 15:44
  • This question might sound bizarre, but I have personally heard about jinns who had pleaded allegiance to Prophet's Ahlulbayt and this does find reference in Shiite hadith sources. That might explain the relevance of the question to Islam.

I just want to know, what is the use of asking such a question? Even if you found out the answer what will you do with it?

Also the Question You ask, has a problem with it.

You are asking for Ahadith to prove if Jin are Shia or Sunni. But you must remember, in the time of Prophet there was no sect known as Shia and Sunni... So how can there be hadith from Prophet (PBUH) about Shia, Sunni????

It was many years after, that people started studying deeply into Islamic Studies that sects started to emerge.

Right now we have 5 main madhabs of Islam. 4 Sunni (Hanafi, Maliki, Sha'fi, Hanbali) and 1 Shia (Ja'fri)

Interestingly all the imams; Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik, Imam Sha'fi, Imam Ahmed ibn Hanbal were the students of Imam Jafar as Sadiq. (Who is the great grandson of the Prophet)..

(Note: This question cannot be answered because it is problematic.)

  • Shia is Not from the Ja'fri Madhab do a deep study otherwise they will also be considered as sunni and considered among the 5th madhab why all others scholars are considered as sunni. Imam jafar never gone against the companion of prophets decisions.

@Ali, you said: "if you found out the answer what will you do with it?!" Oh, If you think like that, then I reckon you should say it for most questions of this site that "if you found out the answer what will you do with it?!" , Aug 2 '14 at 14:05

@Ali, you likewise said that" .. how can be hadith from the Prophet(PBUH) about Shia, Sunni????" So, I Did not say if there is any hadith from the prophet, I inquired is there any authentic ahadith? (e.g. from Imams ..). anyhow God bless you (since anyway it is very nice of you that paid attention to my question) Aug 2 '14 at 14:10

He was an old man, I saw him myself - maybe he was originally close to our place, he was from the north - he said: I was sleeping, I saw a commotion. I said: What is the fuss? "Za 'far Jenny, who came to help Imam Hussein (as), is now dead," he said. We also heard this from the old men of our time from the professors in Najaf that the jinns had said: "There are infidels and Shiites among us, but there are no Sunnis." We said, "What is this for?" He said: "The old men who are still with us said: We were [that] the Prophet in Ghadir raised the hand of the Ali ibn Abitalib and appointed his successor. "[Those old men] are still there." I had heard from another person that twenty years ago [some people] came and knocked on some houses when Zafar died, may God bless him and grant him peace.

The old man says: "While I was sleeping, I asked if he had a successor."Is his son his successor?" They said, "Yes, he has a successor." I had never heard this in that news. This is for the same old man who said I saw it myself. Of course, the old man did not say, I saw the body of the person who reported it, I heard [the voice]. I said: What is the name of his successor? He said: The name of his son, who is the successor of the father, is "perfect". It should also be noted that the life of a goblin is not one year and two years and ten years and one hundred years. It has been more than a thousand years since we heard from those old men. Finally! Our Master Allameh Tabatabai, the author of the commentary of Qayyim and Azim Al-Mizan (Rizwan Allah Alayh) has said: Our teacher, the late Agha Seyyed Ali Ghazi, narrated that someone asked a jinn (and he said that the person may have been the late Ghazi himself): What is the religion of the jinn tribe? The jinn replied: "The jinn tribe, like the human tribe, has different religions, except that they are not Sunni because there are people among us who were present at the Ghadir Khum incident and witnessed the incident." O Prophet! Announce what has been revealed to you from your Lord (concerning the guardianship and succession of Imam Ali). Do not have this important message). Indeed, Allah does not guide the disbelieving people. یا أَیُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ ما أُنْزِلَ إِلَیْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَ إِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَما بَلَّغْتَ رِسالَتَهُ وَ اللَّهُ یَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا یَهْدِی الْقَوْمَ الْكافِرِینَ And they have witnessed what Muhammad said “Except for whoever I was his master, then Ali is his master. «ألا من كنت مولاه فهذا علیّ مولاه، اللهم وال من والاه و عاد من عاداه و انصر من نصره و اخذل من خذله و أحبّ من أحبّه .... But the body of the Messenger of God had not yet been buried, which ..., or in the words of Sayyid Humairi in the Einiye ode: حتّى إذا واروه فى لحده‏ و انصرفوا عن دفنه ضیّعوا ما قال بالأمس و أوصى به‏ و آثرو الضرّ بما ینفع‏ و قطّعوا أرحامه بعده‏ فسوف یجزون بما قطّعوا Even if they saw him in his lonely place and turned away from burying him, they were lost. What he said yesterday and recommended it, and prefer harm to benefit And they sever his ties of kinship after him, so they will be recompensed for what they severed
