If God wanted Muslims to interpret it as "displease", why he didn't use the word "displease" !! Why he explicitly used the word "harmed" !! As God said that about himself, Muslims can't reject it! Arabic language is very vast, there are multiple meanings of the same word. So obviously you're gonna interpret it based on certain ground rules or the tenets which form our Aqeeda.
