Jan 3, 2013 at 15:09 comment added rowman thanks again. Could you also provide the hadeeth stating the Knowledge of Quran is transferred from the Prophet to Imam Ali and so on until the Imam Mahdi. May Allah send peace and blessing on all of them. It supports your answer.

Jan 3, 2013 at 12:53 comment added owari @rowman, also I prefer Sunni brothers to state their interpretations of the Hadeeth, but if you can read Persian I introduce to you this page which contains a good discussion on their opinions about this Hadeeth.
Jan 3, 2013 at 12:50 comment added owari @rowman, actually Quran is enough but not for us but only for the holy prophet --peace be upon him-- as he fully understood it, even those part of it which was not clear to Gabriel --peace be upon him--, that is the Muqatta'aat. Then the holy prophet taught all he knew to Imam Ali and Imam Ali taught all of them to his son Imam Hassan, and etc, peace be upon them all! They are all firmly grounded in Knowledge as introduced in [3:7] and declared in Hadeeth of Thaqalein (two weighty things). Who else that claim Quran is enough for him, or Quran is enough for everyone knows nothing about Quran.
Jan 3, 2013 at 10:09 comment added rowman A very nice answer. Indeed Quran is not enough to guide people as some claim so. All the Islamic sects and school of thoughts have the original version of Quran but they are different from each other at the end of day. Quran needs someone to interpret the verses whom are ahlulbayt according to this rock solid authentic hadeeth. Sunni interpretation of this verse would also be very helpful. Could you do that as well?
