May 4, 2018 at 2:51 comment added Ahmad Tn Thumbs up for the effort put in the answer, but with all due respect, I believe as @III-AK-III suggested, you're sharing unnecessary info. The answer could've been straight to the point with references or advice to read more about all the "aql", "naql" etc... But again, jazakallah for your efforts and interest in answering the question :)

May 2, 2018 at 19:46 comment added III-AK-III Thanks, 0tyranny 0poverty, I will try to respond to question 47622. The books, though, will be a tough one because I will be in a sense presenting my own view as I would recommend books that convinced me (this is why I did not put any in there). Having said that, when it comes to 'aql vs. naql, the controversy is always which one overrules.
May 2, 2018 at 19:32 comment added 0tyranny0poverty @III-AK-III There is only one Islam. I am not trying to present 'my perspective'. There is too much confusion about what is Akil vs, Nakil; Shahadati vs Ghaybi; which if the distinctions and purposes were understood, the questions wouldn't be necessary. Can you please share with us the specific books by scholars that you recommend. You can also post as answer to my question: islam.stackexchange.com/questions/47622/…

May 2, 2018 at 15:55 comment added III-AK-III As of now, the question about the Jurassic age has not been edited by the OP or any other user, and I am still striving to understand when I read your answer how it addresses the question. I suggest you review books on allegory, metaphors, and mutashābih vs. muhkam in the Qur'an by highly-esteemed scholars. Continually try to present a certain perspective without being explicitly asked about it is not what Islam SE is about (see Islam SE is not about a specific version of Islam).
