If this was the case than if you came late for the prayer you should pray two additional rak'a's, none of the scholars even ask you to this! Note that in some madhhabs speaking during the Khutba is even allowed. The shafi'i's for example allow you to answer a greeting (by giving a sign) ... Also there are ahadith showing that the prophet pbuh was addressed while holding a sermon and interrupted his khotba to answer the questioner. | |
