Note that even if maliki scholars would consider this makrooh they are aware of a hadith where our Prophet read al-Baqara, an-Nissa' and jumped back to al-'Imran (or something like that)... so maybe one should look deeper for their reason behind calling it makrooh. | |

Bach | I'm curious about the rulings of reciting a later surah before a shorter; seeing that they are ordered by length, that is probably the defining criterion, but what is the ruling if someone recites al-imran completely in the first raka, and only the first 5 ayat of al-baqara in the second raka, would this still carry the same ruling? | |
