I've been told that if someone dies, their assets MUST be divided amountscorrectly between the heirs asap based on Islamic decision requirementsIslamically outlined division percentages, otherwise the person who has died will be sinning for:(s) stopping the correct division (or stopping the division of the assets all together) of the assets are committing a major sin.

  1. not ensuring a good will which asks the assets to be divided appropriately asap
  2. the heirs who choose to not divide the assets are sinning and are causing sin to befall on the person who has died

Is this true?

I would appreciate views from the sunni > hanafi > deobandi view.

If the views of sunni > hanafi > brelvi are different, what is the difference?
