Sorry to hear about your friend. You have to ask yourself was he a good and proper muslim who fulfilled his obligations and died doing Allah's work? If yes, then he will not be dead but be in paradise. – Hanif Dec 26 '12 at 9:47
I'm worried for myself that know my duties? or not? many of us deny our duties. our family. our child. our body. our society . our masjid. in politics in culture. because Denial of them is easiest solution. – saber tabatabaee yazdi Dec 26 '12 at 9:56

Accept my condolences for your loss. I cannot fully understand the point in your question, can you please explain further what you are asking about? To me it seems that the question is answering itself!? – owari Dec 26 '12 at 12:53
It's very easy to know if you're doing right by Allah. Do you pray 5 times a day? have you declared your faith? do you ensure the women in your family and neighborhood are correctly covered? Do you eat only halal food? do you fast during Ramadan? have you performed the Hadj? do all you can to stop those who stand in the way of islam (secularists, athiests or non-muslims)? Do you give to islamic charities what you can? Good luck brother - it is a rewarding path both now and in the after life. – Hanif Dec 26 '12 at 13:09

I am not entirely certain what your question is but I will try to respond as best as I can based on what I did understand.

Life is a blessing of Allah and we must protect it and safeguard it to the best of our ability. This includes the lives of others as well as ourselves. The life of a living thing can only be taken or jeopardized according to the Commands of Allah.

@Hanif, all of us have 2 deaths and 2 lives. The first death is when our constituent parts are a part of the universe and have not come together into the shape of a living being. Then, when those parts come together, and a living thing is born, this is the first life. Then, that living thing dies and this is the second death. On the Day of Judgement, all living things that died will be raised up again to face the Judgement. This will be the second life and this life will be forever. There is no death in the second life. It doesn't matter whether one's eternal abode is Heaven or Hell.
