Salam and welcome toIslam.SE, we suggest you read the FAQ. questions here are expected to be researched, this question is unresearched and has no quality. You can open the Quran and find the answer. We look forward to having you as an active participant here. – Al Ummat مجاهد Nov 14 '12 at 20:15
Given that zina is clearly and unambiguously verboten, it is unclear what exactly you're trying to ask. – goldPseudo Nov 14 '12 at 22:37
@AlUmmat: There are many questions that could easily be answered with a simple internet search. What kind of research are we talking about? – Noah Nov 15 '12 at 4:53

Tamanna: The short answer is no, it's not allowed to have sexual intercourse or any kind of love affair outside of marriage. Even if you are not married, you are not allowed to commit adultery or go near it. Zina or adultery is a serious crime in Islam. Many Ahadith and Quranic verses cover the issue of Zina in great length. I hope someone else answers the question with proper authentic references. – Noah Nov 15 '12 at 5:07
I don't get that why this question is downvoted. This is very legal question and you can give answer with reference from Quran/Hadith. – Kashif Nov 16 '12 at 12:32

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.

According to Islam a man is allowed to have sex with a woman other than his wife if she is a wholly owned slave or war-prisoner.

Wikipedia link.

You can also inspect this islamqa.info link.

"Those who guard their chastity, except with their wives/husbands and slaves."
Qur'an 70:29-30.

And (forbidden to you) are married women, except those whom your right hand owns. Such Allah has written for you. Lawful to you beyond all that, is that you can seek using your wealth in marriage and not fornication. So whatever you have enjoyed from them give them their obligated wage. And there is no fault in you in what ever you mutually agree after the obligation. Allah is the Knower, the Wise.
Qur'an 4:24.

How these verses are related to the question is above me! – Jawad Nov 19 '12 at 17:32
war prisoner???? From which ayah you grant the permission of having sex with a war prisoner? – Ali Nov 19 '12 at 19:01
@Ali, Please inspect the links I provided. You will get the answer. – BROY Nov 25 '12 at 12:37
your links do not provide any Ayah of Quran or authentic Hadith, permitting a Muslim to have intercourse with a prisoner of war. – Ali Nov 25 '12 at 18:38

If we don't think about the terms of past - like Kaniz/Ghulam = owned slaves - muslims are allowed only to have sexual relationship with their wives/husbands. Otherwise it would be a case of "Zina" that is a great sin.

As far as I know Sunnah Fiqh permits permanent marriage, while Shia Fiqh permits temporary marriage also (i.e. for one month, one year, more or less).
